I really want to replace the differential in my base '95 with an LSD, but before I do, I want to clear some things up. Any limited slip differential will make both weels lock and drive the car, making the tire wear more even? I have seen things about there being a VLSD the "V" being for viscous (sp?) and I've also seen clutch models. What are the differences if any between these? My car doesnt have ABS and I'd like to see if that is something that is an aftermarket install, but thats another post. I've seen just the gears inside, as well as the whole differential itself (not too clear on proper names). As far as the gears go, what all is involved in installing just the gear(s), and is this all that is required in making the weels lock? Finally, the whole LSD units that I have run across seem to be the easiest of all to install, they look to be a direct bolt on, but these are for cars equipt with ABS. Will it work just fine even though I have nothing to plug into that sensor on the differential because I do not have ABS, or will the differential need modification? Thanks.
