LSD SWAP

Hey guys, I gotta 93 coupe with an open diff thats makin some noise when the engine is pulling the car down coming to a stop. Ive heard that you can swap LSDs outta 300zxs 350zs Q45s blah blah, but you have to change your output flanges becuase the bolt patterns are different. Someone told me the other day that you can pulled the diff and cv halfshafts out of a 350z(?) and as long as you swap sides with the shafts its will all drop right in. True?

I did a direct swap from a J30. It's beautiful.

Huh. You still got the 4 lug hubs on yours too?

If you get a LSD out of a 96 j30 with the 6 bolt flange, and swap out the covers it will bolt right in. If you get a LSD with the 5 bolt flange, then you will need to swap axles also. If you search there is alot of info on here about the LSD swaps.

Yea, ive read all the stuff on here I could find but im looking for somethin that will just drop in minus the covers. I work a lot of hours and usually only have one day off work a week. So I would need to do it in one day. My diff is makin a lot of noise so im thinkin its not gonna last much longer.

Unless you swap in one out of a S13 im pretty sure your gonna have to swap the cover. It doesnt take long and the felpro gasket is only 7 bucks. Just pull the cover off your old unit and bolt it on your new one. Few minutes at the most. Took me just as long to get the car on jack stands as it did to pull the open and install the LSD.
