I did a search and found very little useful information. I have a 98 SE and was wondering what kind of LSD people have used and would recommend. I plan on SCCA racing my car and also doing some drifting on the side.

My trouble of decision is selecting between a 1.5 or 2-way LSD. Of course I have decided to go with a clutch based LSD like Kaaz or Nismo. I have heard that 1.5 is generally better based for auto-x because it can still accelerate out of turns well, while braking into turns is not sacrificed. And that 2-way is more designed for drifting as braking into turns is compromised.

Any opinions/ideas would be appreciated to help make my decision, Thanks.

a 1.5 is supposively far more smooth and "easy" turning than a 2 way. a 2 way is much better if you can actually race a car(IE have both the experience and training to know howto ender and leave turns, apex, trail brake, etc) as any anormality in driving hard(IE late braking and clutch bump, etc) can cause un-expected changes in the driving dynamic of the car.

at least, thats my understanding. I think i have a few articles listed in the FAQ that can explain it much better than I can.-chet
