Hmmm that's different. I would say yes as long as you have the axles to match that 6 star patterned outputs. Usually either the 3/6 bolt, or the 5 star/5 bolt.So not 100% sure but it looks like it should work.(as long as you have the axles)

should work fine as long as you have matching axles, iirc those are Z32 style axle outdrives (id have to look under my car to tell you for sure) Only reccomendation i would give you is to RE USE your original pinion and ring gear. Otherwise your rear end is gonna SCREAM because they are not worn into each other.

You will need the right bolt pattern on your half shafts otherwise you won't be able to bolt up your drive shafts (obviously). Also with the Nismo centres the half shafts have a different spline to the factory Nissan ones so you can simply knock you 6 blot half shafts out your our existing diff and knock then into the Nismo centre because they won't fit.So you basically left with, if you want to run the Nismo centre you will either have to find one with 6 bolt half shafts or you will have to find some 5 bolt drive shafts.

can't he just remove the six bolt star outputs and use the stock ones so it bolts up?

yes but the style on the VLSD will let you use Z32 axles which are stronger than stock S13

I'd watch out, thats the Z32 TT output shaft pattern. The NA Z32s used the 5 bolt or the doubled up six bolt, like the stock 240sx output shafts.

I have no evidence to back this up other than having a Z32 TT diff in my garage that looks identical. The Z32TT uses an R230V, which won't fit in the R180/200 carrier because its humongous.

As i said in my earlier If he is using a Nismo centre then he will have to use Nismo output shafts as none of the Nissan output shafts will have the right spline, Nismo changed the spine on the centres which is a good business decision but is a Pain in the *** for the end user

You can use 5 bolt JDM 180sx/silvia axles, 5 bolt J30 axles (not all years are 5 bolt tho), or z32 NA axles.
