LSD QUESTION!!!

i have a question how would i know if my car has lsd, i have a 1990 240sx hatchback. does my car has lsd? i know its a noob question. and what are the differences between lsd and v-lsd and which one is better for drifting.

well thats very vague but lsd 2.0 is the best for drifting if you wanted to go down the lsd way for drifting but a lot of people like welded diffs but i have a 2 way and like it locks really good but it gets kind of annoyinig with the clunking but its not bad on your drivetrain as a welded is also vlsd is almost the same as an open because you have to wait untill the oil inside heats up to get it to lock which is also never a fully locked

OP, this is a topic that's been covered a lot, but I'll give you the info you need.

Cars with ABS have LSDs in the states. On the diff itself, should be an orange sticker (oval shaped) that says 'VLSD'. If you're still uncertain if you have one (say someone swapped it out at some point), you can jack the rear of the car up and spin a wheel. Open diffs will spin the wheels in opposite directions. LSDs will spin them in the same direction.

2.0 LSD refers to clutch style locking differentials. Use google to search how a diff works. I'm not going to exlpain it.
