as many know there are 1 way, 1.5 way, and 2 way LSDs. What are your recommendations for drifting? i read that a 2 way LSD is more suitable for Drag Racing. And a 1.5 way is best for grip racing. Then i read that a 1 way LSD is made for street. is that true?

When I spoke to a Kaaz rep at a drift event he said that most beginner drifters prefer 1.5

1 way only limits slip upon acceleration. 2 way limits slip in acceleration and deceleration. 1.5 way limits slip upon acceleration and partially on deceleration.

That being said, in a drag race, you have no need for a LSD to act upon deceleration. In drifting, it would probably depend on your style. In deceleration, if you have LSD action, it will give you a little more braking traction. You may not want this if you are looking to initiate drifting with trailbraking techniques.

Technically, it's two way since it has the same locking force in both directions, but it's not as effective under high torque differentials as mechanical units(clutch and helical).
