LSD Question

My friend and I were going to go to a junkyard to look for an lsd off a s13 so it can go onto my 1990 coupe. I wanted to know when I pull this lsd off the car how can I tell it would work on my car (how do i look for damages???

Turn the shafts all by hand. Look for any visual damage. If it's still on the car, look at the damage to the car. If it's not where the diff is, then chances are it's okay. The diff is pretty hefty and well protected. It is highly unlikely that you will run into a damaged unit, unless the internals are toast. And you can always open the cover to look at the gears as well.
