It depends. If you want to swap in a VLSD, pumpkin and all, then no, the entire differential case comes out. If you plan on installing an aftermarket differential, like the Kaaz or Nismo or Cusco units, then you'll have to drain and drop the whole case, open the pumpkin, pull the existing differential out, pull of the final gear, and then reassemble with the new differential.chugchug wrote:if i wanted to install the lsd on my 95 is there anything i have to do to the existing rear differential. or does the new lsd replace the existing one?
