Hello Guys,

Some guy claimed that the lsd I was buying was for a 240sx but it turned out it only had 8bolts instead of 10bolts. The guy claimed it was a Nismo. I went to KAAZ USA and they said that its a nissan LSD but its not for a 240.

Do you guys happen to know if this is for a 510??? Here are the pics?If so anyone interested? Paid 650 for it?

Thank you for your time!

measure the outside diameter if it's an R200 it'll be about 200mm across if it's 160 then it's an R160, 180mm = R180, 190mm - R190, I demand my money back! all 240sx's came with the R200, all rear drive nissan cars from 77-89 used the R200 then the 240sx and the 300zx na's continued through 96 and some of the infiniti's used the r200 as well, so there is no excuse for listing it for a 240sx if it's not an R200

280zx's had a 10mm R200 vs. the 300zx and later's 12mm R200. That mm number refers to the diameter of the bolt holes.

Okay mesured it and it looks like 160mm. So i hope its an R160. The strange thing is I've been researching and it seems that Subaru use the same number. IS the correct? Anyone know where I can get more mesurements? Oh by the way.. anyone interested in this??? I'll sell it for a good price

oh yeah on the bolt size thing there doesn't seem to be a defined cutoff point, I have a 78 ring gear bolted to my 88 VLSD carrier same bolts same hole diameter defied everything poeple told me, of course they said I couldn't use the vlsd carrier in my 78 housing with stock stub axles but I am (chopsaws rock!)

One thing that you have to be careful of with measuring the diameter size is that there are several variations of each size that were made. The R-190 comes in 2 IRS versions (Nissan comp/Z-432 and Late 4WD PU front) and the 2000/1600 Roadster/510 Wagon live axel. By just looking at the LSD unit it is difficult to tell and they are not interchangeable. The R-160 (Nissan) and R-160 (Subaru) parts are not interchangeable (with the exception of some gearsets) and the Subaru unit must have 510 axle stubs installed be fore it will work. A look at the Nissan Comp book defines some of the differences.

The diff in the roadster & 510 wagon was not an R190, it is an H190.The R190 came in an early Skyline (DR30), and is totally different.
