2003-2004 M45's have an RS200 3.13 open diff.
They have 6 bolt axles and driveshaft which swap perfectly into the Z32TT subframe

now My dilema is how can I put an LSD in it along with a Finned Rear cover.

https://www.google.com/search?q=Y34LSD& ... f&tbm=shop

It appears OS giken offers an LSD, however info about it is limited. I have sent them an email confirming what type of diff it fits into.

Any info would be appreciated on if Z32-34/G35-37 LSD's will slide into the Y34's DM's without crazy custom work.

I also have an armada 2.94 Rear end, searching for an LSD for that as well. I've seen the R230 Z32 TT/ Armada R230 combo thread over on hybridz so no need to post it. I'd like to avoid going that route as it's a huge pain.

Cross-posting (i.e. posting the same topic in more than one forum board) is frowned upon. It's confusing and often counterproductive. Please choose the forum that is closest to your topic, and place it there only. If you should create a topic in one forum, and later realize it would be more appropriate in another forum, please delete the original before posting it again. Thanks for understanding!

This applies to both forums.

Why would a 350z owner check out the M45 page?
They wouldn't.

I have no idea why, you posted it here. If it doesn't belong here, then which forum would you like it posted in?

But this does directly deal with the Y34, 03-04 M45 so it does belong here as well

The reason I posted it in both places is because this pertains to both M45 (y34) owners and 350z (z33) owners. The answer to this information benefits all of our community. I could understand if it only pertained to one model but it pertains to both. Very rarely do communities get easy solutions to problems like this. If the answer is that the 350z/370z/g35/g37 lsd's bolt in then the entire nissan community benefits from this.

Thank you Gene.

I doubt you will get much if any response here in the M forums. There are only 3 people I know of (one of them being myself) that have done any work with the rear differential. We all have swapped in G37s LSDs, but our axles and such are different than yours are. The parts we have to bolt up to our cars are not compatible with the M45 version of our cars from the same year, and are not compatible with Y34 models either. So I really have no idea as to the answer to any of your questions.

The guys over in the 350/370 and G forums may not more, as they are far more performance part swap oriented.

Not much to add either, but I am interested.

I saw THIS CRAIGSLIST POST in Chicago and the owner used a 300zx TT rear diff.
Is it your desire to actually get smaller ratios considering you have the "right" car?

just measured the dimensions of the R200 in the M45 diff, it appears to be identical with the 350z lsd unit.
I will take off the ring gear and do a more accurate measurement but i think they are swappable.
