lsd cooling question

I got a lsd differential off a 240 hicas, the thing is i dont know if it is ok to put the differential in my 90 pumpkin. I saw on one of the threads that the hicas pumkin is slightly bigger for cooling? do you think i will have problems? I know i can insatll it with no problems but will it get messed up because of the heat?

just use the whole thing (case and all) it should all just bolt right in. Unless it is already apart, then you get to have fun putting it back together...

that is what i mean i only have the differential i dont have the whole pumkin. i know im gonna have to put it all together thats not the problem. The problem is does it matter that i have a 1990 pumpkin instead of the 91 and above hicas pumpkin.

the output shafts are definitley different between the LSD and non LSD pumpkins. You will need those for sure...

depends on how much power your putting down. the more power you have and if you drive hard it will heat up more.

if you have a stock KA or one with bolt ons dont worry about it

how can the output shafts be diffrent if its the same car?

same car, but the differentials sit in slightly different locations inside the pumpkin, so you have to have a different set of output shafts...
