I am wanting to confirm something before I pull the trigger on a rather pricey mod,

I have a 1991 240sx Coupe, 5speed manual ka24de: i am rebuilding the car for a all out autox/time attack car, my concern is that i am in the process of swapping my driveshaft for a 1piece all aluminum from 240sx motoring and swapping my open
diff for a 2way carbon diff from carbonetics.

my cocern is that later on, within the next year or so i will be swapping the engine to a rb26dett, i already know i will have to buy a seperate driveshaft after the swap making the aluminum 1piece shaft i am buying useless once i swap the engine, im okay with that as it is $400 roughly and i will enjoy it for a year at least,

what i want to make sure of is that the diff from carbonetics that i am buying will be able to be reused on the rb26dett? i would hate to spend $1200-1300 on something that will only work on my ka24de or a sr20det as i have my mind set on a rb26dett.

bottom line, will i be able to use the same lsd on both a rb26 and a ka24?

thanks in advance

just make sure your driveshaft hooks up to your diff

differentials are not motor specific unless you want to change out the ring and pinion gear ratios..

the diff itself would be a non issue. a stock diff would work fwiw

you should just have the shell for the diff and just the connection to the driveshaft being the problem. You would either have to find that one part from the rb26 that will match that drive-shaft connection point or you could just end up fabricating the connecting point. There was something online about that on swapping different differentials in the shell and or having different connecting points. Be good for reference for later.
