I'm in the process of upgrading my coils on my S1 RB25 and I'm trying to troubleshoot why it's idling rough/misfiring and pops a little when I try and rev it.
My wideband shows a A/F of 16-18 at idle (I know it's super lean), and it sounds like it isn't running on all 6.

Can someone please confirm if I have the wires right?

Blue/Orange stripe = Cylinder 1
Grey/Black stripe = Cylinder 5
Blue/Red stripe = Cylinder 3
Black/Yellow stripe = Ground (???)
Purple/White stripe = Cylinder 6
Blue/Black stripe = Cylinder 2
Blue/Yellow stripe = Cylinder 4

Does this sound right?

For the power side, I used the wires from the original 2 pin connector:
Nissan White wire - To the "pink" wires (6 of them) that are on the LS2 coil connector D
Nissan Black wire/red stripe - To the "brown" wires (6 of them) on the LS2 coil connector B
And the last wire on the LS2 coil connector A (black) goes straight the the battery ground post.

I know it's preferred to use the Nissan white wire to trigger a relay to power the "pink" wires, but I don't have one on hand and just need to get the car driving so I can move it from where it is.

I have an AEM V1 ECU on there, I can't hook my laptop up to read anything since it doesn't have a serial port.... If I can get it moving, I can take it to my shop to have them go over the tune again (and install a relay), I know it'll need to be adjusted since the spark is much better with the GM coils.

The bracket I'm using is COP, I got it from a guy in Australia, it needed quite a bit of modification to get the Accel coils to fit. I'm not sure how it fits with stock D585 coils, maybe it's better.

I re-used the RB coil boots on a set of brand new Accel coils, and stretched the springs so they contact the plug. As it sits now, the spark plug is actually partially in the coil, so I'm pretty sure the contact is good on that end.

And finally the harness, I had 2 differnt year LS harness' so theres 2 connectors that don't physically look the same as the other 4, I doubt that it makes a difference.

I bunched the pink, black, and brown from 6 to 1 wire each exclusively. Then wired according to what I wrote above.

Sooo, anyone have any suggestions as to why it won't idle well or take any throttle?
From what I've read on other coil swaps, they fired up and ran good just slightly leaner....

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry bud couldn't find my instructions that were for the RB25. Search google it's been posted before on this forum for the LS2 coild pack swap for the RB25. I had to repin my harness that came with my kit for the RB20 from the RB25.

Thanks guys
I'll check for other issues, firing order seems good.

Check your harness, it will still fire up and idle normal with the stock RB coil dwell settings.
