LS1 Z32 questions

planning on doing an LS1 swap if it seems cost effective. i am ok with my car sitting in a garage while i work on it until its done, if i know the end result will be worth it. If i can find an N/A Z32 for cheap enough then the engine/transmission, and other misc. costs wont be as high, and i can still sell the parts that i dont need from the Z to recover money. As much detail and information anyone can hand down about your swap would be greatly appreciated. i had a few specific questions...when you do the swap...do you lose things like A/C, ps/pw/pl, etc. if yes: is it possible to regain them?

Hey, sounds like a hell of a swap. PERSONALLY- I HATE THE IDEA. but that's just me. but i would check out http://www.hybridZ.org and ask around cause they are alll about swapping anything and everything into any Z car. so check it out! good luck!

not many Z32's on hybrid but there were a couple, mostly S30's stuff on hybrid

im a member on LS1tech/Hybrid Z, but hybrid Z wont let me view alot of the forums, or post, despite being a member for a long time. i figured NICO would be able to better help me.

have you tried e-mailing one of the mods? the only private forum I know of there is the pinks forums and the mod forums, I suspect a cookie issue

basically it wont let me do anything on the site, i cant access users profiles to email them, and i have clicked on a contact us button and emailed them, still no reply. i thought it was because i was a new member....takes time for it to register me, but ive been a member there for a long time now.

most of the hybrid guys like me deal with early cars, sorry to hear abotu the issues there, kinda sounds like some sort of computer issue? I hope you are able to find the help you need here, I wouldn't suggest anyone not sure they can fabricate their own mounts try such a radical swap

I have a Z32 LS1http://www.myspace.com/v8nsideI’m not running a/c, power steering, cruse control, ABS, Traction, or a heeder, really don’t need any of them. I kinda wish I would have done a/c but I’m turning the car into a time attack car anyway so who cares. Regarding all the other stuff, I have been driving the car for 2 years now and I don’t regret not installing any of them. I know of some other LSZ32 that have some of the stuff installed but I don’t know if they have a/c. The problem that I found was that the a/c/heeder unit is to big to fit after the firewall and transmission tunnel were modified to fit the LS setup. But I’m sure that with a little elbow grease u can somehow make it work, it just wasn’t a priority for me.The car is a fun weekend driver and handles great at the track, regarding daily driving; its fun but I get into too much trouble with it.P.S. the guys at hybridz.org helped me out 2 years ago when I did my swap.
