LS1 vs 2JZ in keeping AC

I had an S13 with SR20 in which I kept the AC....yeah I know I'm a bish but I like my AC in the summer months.

I'll be picking up a S14 soon and plan on another build. The SR20 was a fun little motor but I wanted more power and something decently reliable with 400+whp.

I am leaning towards a 2JZ or LS1 swap (haven't decided which) but this question may help my decision. My goal is to keep AC with this swap so if anyone knows if I can keep AC with either of these swaps in a S14 please let me know.

you can keep your A/c with either of these swaps, i know a couple 2JZ guy's that run a/c on there cars still. i personally do not but it could be done. i don't see a problem doing it on a LSX car either.

Thanks for the info, if they can retain AC in RX7's with LS1 swaps I guess you can in a s14 chassis. I was worried about the 2jz swap keeping ac because of how much space it takes up.

It really depends on which LSx motor you get, for instance the accessory location of the F-body, corvette, and GTO LSx motors are all different. I'm using a GTO LS2 and the A/C seems to be pretty straight forward.
