LS1 Swap problems (need help)

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Ok... I didn't know what to search for... thats why I didn't bother searching! Here goes:-

I already swaped the engine and everything into my 240sx, so I took it for the last step which is connecting all the wirring harness. One Electronic Mechanic said that my car needs the LS1 Anti theft thing to work... I never heard of such a thing, and someone said it needs the original startup switch... does this have any truth to it... or are they just dumb electricians? because they don't seem professional anyway... what I have is the engine an auto trans and all the wirring harness with the ECU... do I need anything else?!

Ok... the second thing, where can I find a wirring diagram for an LS1...?!

Thanks

I Can do the wiring for you and have all the un-needed things like the VATS system turned off.

The "ls1 antitheft thing" would be the VATS system, you can either have the pcm reprogrammed, which you probably need to do anyway for other aspects of the swap, or get a vats bypass module, which is about $40-50$

Here are pcm pinouts for a 99 Z28, not sure which year engine and pcm you are using, but they may each be the same for 99-02 afaik, you shouldnt need much mroe than these

btw, a question about the Ls1's alternator, I bought one and it didn't come with a bracket... does it actually need one or does bolt on the block directly...?!

you need a bracket, no alternator comes with it

you need one for the camaro/firebird, NOT the corvette.
