well frapjap you are going to be a very happy dude if you get it, I had an 87 t/a and it handled awesome and even with the wimpy 150hp 305 it was a blast to drive, Id actually still have the car if it werent for an engine explosion resulting in a big fire that sent it to the scrap yard.......

150HP from a 305ci? I never cease to be amazed at how much damage emissions and gas mileage restrictions did to the American V8 in the 70's/80's.

But how well will it hold up if you actually grab traction? As long as its spinning it should be OK but if it actually hooks up will it come apart? Better question, what will come apart?

well dfw, they had 150 hp but 330 lb/ft of torque, it wasnt the emissions that strangled the engine as bad as the small cam, pathetic head design, and restrictive exhaust and intakes...... and I havent ever heard of too many problems from these diffs and they have been behind v8's since good ole 260/280 z's have been around, I am sure they can break and sometimes do but it probably isnt a concern until you actually have the power AND traction available........
