LS1 - 2 dipsticks?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Best option is to tap the hole and thread in a bolt with loctite and/or a lock washer.

I already had the engine in by the time I remembered to do this, so I bought a rubber plug that fit snugly...drilled a very small hole in it, and then threaded in a small stainless steel allen head bolt to expand the rubber and make it seal tightly. Another option, although a little ghetto, but effective, is to just use an old dipstick tube and cut it short, then weld up the end or crush it with a vise.

yeah, taping the block was going to be my solution.

I was hoping there is somekind of plug that GM uses in GTO that would work

the factory hole in the block was the perfect size for an 1/8"NPT tap. just put a 1/8" plug in it with some thread sealant on it.

Look at me Funny? Yeah, the parts guy told me there isn't a hole there. "Corvette expert" needed to see, but of course any vette on the lot will have headers in the way.
