Today I just got my mind blown I just found out LS motors are swappable in the G35's my question is has anyone heard of the LS motors being swapped in the M35?

I have not. The only big motor swap into a Y50 that I've ever seen is Chris Foresberg's VK56 swapped. You can Google that one for more info.

If you can swap an LS into a Miata I suppose you can drop it into anything. Sounds nuts. Go for it.

Pushrod motors tend to respond to after-market performance products better, especially when staying NA.

I've thought about doing this as well...how would you integrate the engine management with all of the car's electronic systems?

anyone done it in an M35 yet? I was talking to my friend about finishing my M and the engine and blah blah blah and his mechanic says LS SWAP! he is capable of doing the task with ease. Just wanted to see an update. take care nicofam

I would assume you would use an aftermarket ECU, and most likely would also need to put a manual trans in too or at the very least an auto trans made for an LS and a TCU for that trans.

Most likely you'd do it the way Fummins diesel guys put Gen2 6BT's into Ford F pickups. New ECU's, but also retain the original ECU's and fool them into thinking they're still running the show. That way the cluster, ABS etc will still function.
