I may have the chance to get a 2000 2wd path very cheaply. Engine is dead with some other issues and my buddy says the owner may sell it for nothing. I have seen 350 swaps in older pathfinders, but nothing that I can find on this body stlye. With LS engines being all the rage and my local junk yard full of trucks, has anyone seen this swap in an 00-04 pathfinder. Has anyone seen a 350 swap in the years?

Ive done the math on the measurements. Only way to in theory make it fit is to get a LS motor and convert it to a corvette accesory set (thinnest) and it JUST fits from fierwall to front of radiator. A decent ammount of room with a custom set of headers side to side. You get lucky on our OEM steering rack and link being out of the way. Would be a VERY tight fit motor wise though.

I dont know about the transmission tunnel but that could be the least of your worry in a project this big.

What were you thinking of doing to get the rear end set up??

Wiring I dont know much about, but they aparently make kits that are fairly straight forward for the fuel injected motors, carb would make it easier, but also harder as youd still be in the dinosaur age.

Id like to hear some open minds to this topic myself

I am going to look at take some measurements. The other engine we kicked around was a 302 becasue of size and aftermarket. For rear end we wanted to look at the differences between the path and the rears offered in the z's. Hell the path rear end might stand up if you dont beat on it. Alot of the z swaps keep their rear end so we are looking at what those guys are doing. I was worried the ls series would be too long but I am thinking if you can get one in a 240's and all the other z's we should be close on a pathfinder. My thought is with aftermarket radiator and fan, thin accesory drive and a little fire wall massage at minimum a 302 would go. I love the 3.5 that is in my 04, but the aftermarket and mileage suck. Guys are pulling 20 mpg with worked ls engines and I squeak that out with a stock and good running 3.5. Sometimes I really think nissan is laughing at us for the mileage the pathfinder gives us. My buddy is doing better in his Yukon and he runs 87 to make it worse.

302 and keep it carbed?? That would make things quite simple

I dont think the oem rear end could hold much power though before grenading, and I doubt another nissan one would bolt right up. Since we dont have a full frame either, fabbing a solid secure might be difficult

I love to hear how you could get a fuel injected v8 in there somehow though, Ive been toying with the idea myself since im at 120k miles and when it pops I want to have some fun with it. Mine is also 2wd
