LS guys, electric water pump on you LS S chassis?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Well I don't know yet, but I may have a leak at the bottom of my water pump. But I recently had the whole front end of and on a few times and the radiator in and out a bunch so it may be left over spilt fluid.

So its a tight in there we all know, I may just opt to replace the water pump with an electric if I am going to have it the pump off anyhow. Are the electric pumps any smaller or larger? I only have about 3-4mm between the waterpump pulley and fans. So any larger I cant do.

They can't be much different because of the belt. I doubt you'll have a problem.

u can go with a custom pulley and custom water pump, it will solve a lot of problems with fit.

Or notch your radiator support and push it forward an inch or so.

But, what I was getting at is that the accessory belt still has to work so it can't push it out any. Since that "pulley" is just there for tension on the belt they would have no reason to make it any bigger. It is supposed to be a stock replacement. If you don't think it'll fit, call Meziere and ask them.

I ordered an OEM one today. The O ring was shot, I spoke the the tech at the dealer today who said hes seen this to be common. So I got a deal 171 for a new pump.
