Well, as is usual for a used car, all sorts of rumors fly about.

Anyone ever hear of SteelSeal?

Currently some mechanics think my car may have a blown head gasket. I'm not so sure. I do have very low compression on one cylinder, but that could just be a valve seal. I don't vent white exhaust. I don't lose coolant. My engine doesn't over heat. Oil looks fine (so if there is coolant in it, it's a VERY small amount). Only other possible tell tale sign is there is gunk that slowly accumulates on my radiator cap. Looks like mud or diarrhea.

Your input on that topic is most welcome.

But primarily, I'm wonder about this product I came across called SteelSeal.

The guys live very close to me in PA. And from what I can tell from the "infomercial" they don't sound like your standard poor acting people. So, they're either incredible actors, have been duped, or are telling the truth.

As with any "too good to be true" product, I'm wondering if anyone in here has ever heard about this thing before or know someone who's used it. If it does what it says it days, as good as the "promo videos" show, then it could save me a lot of money if I DO have a HG problem.

Better to ask around.

Which reminds me, whatever happened to DuraLube? Was that stuff any good?

Thanks guys!

the mud color is oil and coolant. You've got a blown headgasket. Replace the headgasket instead of going for these gimmicks.
