Hey everyone, ive been searching hours upon hours for the perfect wheels for my s14. I do not want to roll the fenders and I do not want any rubbing. My car is mint with low miles and want to keep it that way.

What is the lowest offset and widest tire I can run on a 17" wheel? 17's are the biggest I will go.

Suspension: koni/eibach pro-kit

TIA!-JR

STUDY this thread. It will teach you all that you ned to know...

As such, offsets are not going to be a big issue for you since you aren't using coilovers.

I wish I had the time to go through dozens and dozens of pages but I dont. I know that 17x8's w/ +25 on the fronts will fit with 225/45/17 with no rubbing but what about:

Fronts:

17x9 + 15mm OR + 35mm with 235/45/17 tires

Rears:17x10 + 25mm with 265/40/17 tires

I know that:

Fronts:

17x8 +25mm will fit with 225/45/17 tires

I really dont want to do 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears. I want the concave look in the rear with the 10's.

Do I do 17x8 fronts and 17x10 rears OR 17x9 fronts and 17x10 rears

But the kicker is, which offset and what tire size

I wish I had the time to do your homework for you, but I don't either. I don't have the answer to every question, but I've already provided you with every resource needed to answer any 240sx wheel/tire fitment inquiry you might have.

You may want to find the time to learn about you own car.

Now from the offsets you've provided, you're going for FN01R-C's, yes?

17x10 +25 in the rear should be perfect for you, with the 265's, or 275's, even.

17x9 +35 in front will not fit, will hit the suspension. 17x9 +15 in front will fit, though you -may- need to roll the fender lips flat; easy, painless job. 235's should be alright up there with no rubbing. Especially on shocks/springs like you have. Even 245's could fit, possibly.

You hit it on the nose haha, but I will also use the info you gave me on other wheels as well.

So to sum it up:

Fronts 17x9 +15 w/ 235/45/17 possible fender roll

Rears 17x10 +25 w/ 265/40/17 no rubbing

What are the chances of rolling the front fenders? Should I just go with 17x8 +25 front which I know wont rub after doing research and I will run the same tire size anyway up front at 235/45/17

For the rears will the 17x10 +12mm rub? Also, I want the wheels to sit flush and not poke out. See pics that I found below...

The reason I dont want to roll my fenders is because my car is all original and really nice with only 85k miles. I want to keep it in that condition as best as possible.

Thanks for you help!

These are 17x10 +12mm rears. Fronts are 17x9+15mm

Below are 17x10 +25 rears which kinda look odd maybe its just the angle?? Fronts are 17x9 offset unknown

Well, especially with only shocks/springs, the 10+12 in rear will most definitely poke out. Honestly, the 9+15 f and 10+25 r has a chance of poking out, unless you spring for camber plates too. Wheels fit extremely differently between coilovers and shock/springs. If you want a look anything like what you're showing, you're really going to need coilovers, I'm thinking.

Precisely why I provided resources to search instead of just spitting out an arbitrary answer which depends on a number of variables & different setups.

Ok, so now I know that 17x9's +35 will fit fine on the REARS. How will the 17x9's +15 fit? I think I might be shying away from the 10" rears because it looks a little funny with the 17's.

Here are 17x9 rears +35. Still looking for 17x9 +15 pics...Thanks

Do the 9+15 rear and 8+25 front. You'll like what you see.

i'm running a 18x9 +25 in the rear with quite a bit of camber and I'm tucking tire. With a little negative camber the 17x9 +15 should be pretty flush.

A 235/45 tire may be too physically tall up front. The tire may actually rub on the spring hat. However to verify, poke your head in there and see what kind of space you have to work with.

On a side note, I am currently running a set of 17x9's front and rear with only a slight roll on the rear fenders. Everything up front is intact including the fender liners. This is on an S13, so I know for a fact you have upwards of 12mm extra to work with. A 17x9 with a +15 to mid 20's offset up front will fit fine. The problem you will have will be choosing a proper sized tire that will A) fill in the wells sufficiently and B) allow proper clearance lock to lock. Out back a 17x10 +25 may have a bit of poke to it, though I am going to suggest you consider a 255/40 tire. That will give you a little bit of stretch, and will probably get away with a little more camber than stock without molesting the body. Just some things for you to consider.

Ill probrably run koni/eibach pro kits

So would you run a 235/40/17 front and 255/40/17 rear tire?

Im not looking to roll my fenders at all. No modifications to the body or fender liner.

The wheels I might get have a +15 to +20 offset all around.

trust me, you will want coils after mounting a wide 17 inch wheel with offsets like +15 or +20. you can run 245/40/17 all around with no rubbing on the coils with 17x9 +20. I know this because this is the set up I run on my s13. meaty tires look badass. car is going to look goofy on shock and spring combo; it raises the car higher up. depending how low you want, you may have to roll and slight pull. don't be scared.

if you don't have coils, get them now.
