Quick question for you guys. I'm looking into dropping my coupe, but I'm a bit concerned about the extra weight I have in the trunk (my stereo stuff probably adds about 150 pounds). Right now on the stock springs, my car looks about like it is lowered in the rear (which makes the front look ridiculous).

Should I just get the springs and only install the fronts? I'm not sure if I will run into problems if I throw lowering springs on the rear with the weight that is already constantly on there. Keep in mind, I also use the trunk to transport stuff every now and again, so the weight back there may occasionally be greater. I'll try to snap a pic or two tomorrow when it's lighter so I can show you the wheel gap I currently have. Any input is appreciated.

Ok, here's what my rear wheel gap looks like currently:

So I don't know if I should leave the stock springs on back there with this gap or try the lowering springs. I obviously don't have that much room to give. Any ideas?

When I dropped my sedan, it looked a tiny bit lower than stock. I say put all four springs on - with the stiffer spring rate in the rear, you will sag less when loaded than with the stock springs.

And if it isn't to your liking, the rear springs are simple to remove; it shouldn't take more than an hour to take the new ones off and replace.

I have my full size spare in the trunk and it looked dropped already in the back before the eibach. Once i put the front springs in it looked like the front was lower than the rear and i put all 4 in and it evened it all out. But just like beer said, put the fronts on for sure and try the rears. If you dont like how it looks then just replace it to stock. Its not that hard and doesnt take as much time as the fronts.

The Eibachs have progressive spring rates - the OEM do not. As more load is placed on them, they will "push" back more, leaving the car at the same height as if they had almost no weight on it.

Just install all 4 - you should be good to go
