I would not take the A arm off. I did not remove when i installed my kit pretty easy way is to just take the bottom bolt out underneath the disk brakes. Then take the bolt out of the bottom of the shock as well as the top of the shock tower. The whole shock strut spring assembly should come out with a little pull. When you go to compress the springs make sure you grab as many coils as possible makes it a lot easier. Also you might have to compress your new springs as well to get them on i had to and i used eibach springs. And yes the back is very easy honestly if you are doing this with a floor jack and air tools i would suggest to just let the rear spring fall to the ground. Not really going to hurt anything it does have some force behind it but it is just going to hit the ground just make sure there is nothing in its way. G/L
