but since you are getting new stuts anyway lower the car with the old struts and see how long they last. if it not blown then you save some money.

you can tell if the strut are blown if you push on the car and it rebound more that once.

Hey, I just lowered my car about 2 weeks now. Rides much better. However, you may have to buy more parts than just the struts & springs. Camber bolts hardly helped, but I put them in anyway. For me, I have to buy rear upper control arms to fix the negative camber and tension rods for the front (that ones cuz of an accident i had a few years ago - me & the curb :( ).

You should also get new shoes (boots? whatever they are called) for your struts. Mine were all worn out and getto, but I didn't replace them cuz I was doing the install and wanted to finish it that day and didn't want to wait on the part.

Kyb AGX with Sportlines lower pretty nice. I still have a gap, but I can't put my fist through the top anymore :).

yea...my shocks boots are shredded, how hard is it to adjust camber? u need a rear upper control arm and front tension rods? is this a problem a lot of people have run into....i always figured camber would be a problem but the other 2 i had no idea about...

An "adjustable" rear upper control is needed to adjust the the camber on the rear. There are several things you can do to change the camber on the front: adjustable cam type bolt, adjustable upper pillow mounts, and adjustable lower control arm. (in respective order of Price, and adjustability).

Like brokeAs240sx said, the adjustable cam type bolts are pretty much to adjust it a little (+-1.5 degrees, I think), so it's probably not going to be enough, and you're gonna have to go with one of the other two.

well if you get good springs and shocks, thats great. But coilovers are much more better in tuning your suspension for what you need. The TEIN basic dampers (coilover system) works great enough. For high end Kei Office.

for springs and shocks, yes they improve cornering ability and lower the car, but I think compared to coilovers, the performance sucks on just schocks and struts. with coilovers you can adjust many aspects of your suspension, such as ride height and dampening. The Basic costs the cheapest online for 800. I was looking into a spring/shock setup, and priced toether Tockico Shocks (the highest end one performance wise) and Tein Stech springs. Turns out to be the same price as basic coilovers.

Note: Tein Basic is not dampening adjustable. only ride height adjustable. Tein basic is front 6kg rear 6 kg. The next cheapest is the super street which is 16-way adjustable damper. 1200 bux.

For drifting, it will work, but i wouldn't trust just a shock spring setup.

True, coilovers are better... wwaaaayyyy better. But $800 dollars is a little out of my budget. I spent about $600 for the agx + sportlines. I know the mentality "spend another $200 and get something better" is not that much more, but i started at a budget of $400 for tokico's or gr2's + dropzone springs. I went to agx cuz of that mentality. If i keep going, i'll end up getting the kei offices :).

It's all about budget and what you use it for. I don't even think i needed the agx, but i like the idea of adjustability, and the red color. haha.
