its cool ya wana be low and all..but before you take your ride to the ground..think clearly on what plans you have for her!..if your just gona roll deep in the hood ..then fine..screw the suspention up and drop her to the floor...but if you ever have a drft or road racing itch..you may want to think about coilovers to do it rite..and your goals for suspention load and travel for the style of racing you may want to participate in..what ever you choose..there is no easy answer except ...reaserch....reaserch everything your self..and read a few SA brand automotive books to highten your know how...good luck.

If you want a good height with Shocks and Spring's, the springs will need to be cut. Every body I know who gets shocks and springs ends up with coilovers later. Its not much more expensive.

Coilovers are definitely the way to go. They are adjustable so you could be slammed one day and 4x4 the next. Also they are cheaper just to do these in the long run. Of course you could do what some guys do: buy springs; cut springs... ride like s***; buy coilovers and finally happy. :bigthumb:

If you cut springs correctly its fine. I cut the springs on my girlfriends BMW as the only decent set of coilovers for an older BMW is about 1800$. It rides great, no difference in ride quality after we cut them.

They are Eibach Sport Lines on H&R Shocks.

But... a good set of coilovers for a 240 is roughly 1200$, a cheaper set is like 600-900$. So I would just get the coilovers in your case. I just get sick of everyone saying cut springs suck when they have never done it. If the spring has a linear rate then cutting is fine.
