lowering springs,which way up

yo i just got some new lowering springs, and i'm ready to install them , but a little confused my rear coil springs , one end of the spring is coiled closer together than the other end, which way is up, the tighter coiled side or the spaced side,

I believe the tighter coiling section is the top, but I didnt install these myself.. if you dont know which way is up, I would assume this install is above your skillset and you should grab a more experienced friend to help out... Installing springs is somewhat dangerous and we already had a member crunch his hand last month by doing it when he wasnt prepared properly.

thanks for the welcome, the reason i asked which is up, i installed each spring opposite the other to see the difference and the side that had the tighter coils on bottom sat lower than the side with tighter coils on top, right now my car is on jacks, till i solve...thanks

Tighter coils on top. The signature Eibach should be read-able, as in upright, when installed. I just installed them last week ^^

I was more confused on where to place the jack stands underneath the car than anything else. Learned the hard way with a slight bent in the frame

Was wondering the same thing! Good question. Free bump for others to read just so they are 100% sure!
