Now I know this question has been asked 1000 times but I'm going to ask again. Coils vs Springs which one would be more beneficial to me. My original plan was coils because they are adjustable but I DON't want that completely slammed look, just to get rid of some of that tire gap. Also I'm planning on selling my car next summer so I'd much rather spend the $1000+ on springs and wheels than for coils. My car is currently on stock wheels but I have my aftermarket choices narrowed down; I was told I should do my rims before coils/springs is that true? The roads by my house aren't exactly the best and there are quite a few speed bumps by my job so idk what to do at this point. I guess my main question is which one would should I go with and why? Also, wth are dampeners lol ? I was sold on Tein street basis coils and when I went to look for them the other day this is all I could find ANYWHERE https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/c ... hgodniQLGA

Any input is much appreciated.

Generally speaking when people use coilovers they do the right thing for the wrong reason. Coilovers are good because generally if you're putting lowering springs on stock shocks you should replace the shocks at the same time. Sometimes when pulling the springs off the shocks you can ruin the shocks. Coilovers are also good because the springs are properly matched to the damper.. This really only matters if you care about handling, like to the point of being on a track.

For most people that want to lower their car, lowering springs on stock-like dampers work best, and give you the best combo of nice looks and good ride. Eibach springs are usually nice, not sure if they make them for the altima coupe.

Good luck!
