I'm looking at different options for lowering springs but have a few questions. When looking up the Eibach Pro-Kits for the 2008 a/c, the part number matches the 07 a/s. So does this mean that the 07 a/s springs will fit the 08 a/c's? Also Tein and Progress makes springs for the 07 a/s as well. The same question goes for them? Anyone know of this. Thanks.

Call Stillen, they're available for the 2.5S already. It's been posted a couple weeks back

Here are the correct part numbers for each drive train and body style... it's not your fault, Eibach just hasn't updated their website!

Application Mfg # 2007 - 2008 ALTIMA 3.5L Sedan 6381.140 2007 - 2008 ALTIMA 2.5L Sedan 6382.140 2008 - 2008 ALTIMA 3.5L Coupe 6385.140 2008 - 2008 ALTIMA 2.5L Coupe 6386.140

FYI, Here's what I have gotten back from the various people regarding springs and shocks:

Stillen: 11/20/07 When asked about the Eibach springs - "We don’t have these in stock. These are still in prototype status at Eibach, but I’ve been told that they were supposed to be available by the end of the month." Same response from a guy I know at Eibach as well.

Tien: 11/21/07 "Actually, we haven't tested any of the DSP38 series on the 2007 Nissan Altima yet. Therefore, we cannot guarantee proper fitment or operation. We are in the process of getting that vehicle for R&D."

TOKICO: 11/14/07 When asked about their Illumina adjustable struts - "Nothing quite yet for the New Altima... We should see the HP's by summer of next year. If sales do well, we could anticipate an adjustable version by end of 08."

Vogtland: 11/13/07 "The Drop is 1.4". I would go with Koni struts. Date of availability is still not confirmed."

H&R Spings: 11/15/07 - Via phone so no direct quote - nothing available until after the fist of the year, unable to confirm any dates for availability.

Has anybody had them installed on 3.5? If so how is the ride comparison before and after? Could you post some pics?

KSPORT said they're coilovers will fit our year altimas. *it's the same strut assembly, and all you have to do is get the springrate for our cars and they'll match it with the already produced 02 and up coilovers.

I concur. Aftermarket springs will improve suspension, shocks, and aesthetics.

My concern on this is I dont want the ride to get any stiffer or bouncier than it already is (3.5SE). Generally dropping is going to increase both stiffness and bounce, correct or no?

They make the suspension firmer (i.e. sportier) so that cornering is more pleasurable. However, many feel that this detracts from daily driving because you can feel every bump and pothole in the road. As with most things in life, there are pros and cons to getting aftermarket springs/struts/shocks. You have to weigh both and make a decision for yourself and your needs.

My concern is that everyone I have talked to recommends new struts/shocks when swapping out the springs to control the "Rebound" produced by the stiffer springs. However, after asking many of the spring manufacturers which strut they recommend, I can't find anyone that has anything that fits our cars...

Thoughts??

Generic808, you seem to know a lot about this?? Did you run the stock struts with the Pro kit on your last car?? If so how good / bad were they?

Exactly! I just want to close in that gap in the front a lil and a lil in the rear, nothing crazy.

If you're going with the Pro-Kit, you definitely don't need anything else. They are progressive rate springs and they were designed to be used with your stock suspension. They are the closest to factory ride you will get from any aftermarket spring, period. The only downfall is that they're only a 1" drop. For me, the 1" is perfect, but I know most others want to go lower. I personally don't want my car looking "slammed" anymore. I think I'm too old to be driving a car that's dropped 2" down. It gives that ricer boy look

You took the words right out of my mouth. I had K-Sports on my SpecV and OMFG the daily ride was hell LOL. They were great for autoXing but not for daily driving. Chicks would get in my car thinking WTF is wrong with your car LOL. So needless to say I'm waiting on the pro-kit.

Hey D-Roll, are you serious? the KSPORTS are that sh***y of a ride?! I wanted to go coilovers with my car to slam it, and ksports were my only option since I've found them to go the lowest...

Yeah man! It's a bumpy ride, but I got used to it. Depends on the individual. They were badass for autoXing but daily driving wasn't that great. One benefit was when chics went for a ride in my car, their tits were bouncy and what a show

Nothing. I think Eric just had a bad choice of wording.
