You can get lowering springs at 4x4parts.com, specifically for the R50 pathfinder.

Yeah I have been eying those for a long time, and when I get some extra cash i plan getting them. There is also a guy on nissancustoms.com that has a bagged R50 that just looks nasty.

I think it actually looks kinda cool.

I wouldn't personally do it, but it's cool.

Strange.....

Did you happen to do a side by side comparison of the stock springs against the new lowered ones? Were they the same height?

Or were the new ones obviously shorter? If this was the case it's possible that your stock coil springs were already a bit weak. Weak springs will sag and cause terrible ride and handling especially on corners.

Before you go all snakey on the place that sold you the springs you need to find out the stock ride height specs on your Pathfinder. If someone in here has a stock Pathfinder of the same year perhaps they can help.

All a person needs to do is get a tapemeasure.Measure the distance from the ground to the fender opening on each corner.By doing a comparison of a stock unit and your dropped Pathfinder you should be able to determine if you do in fact have a dropped unit.

The lowered springs should be giving you a better ride over the stock ones you replaced(if the stockers were getting weak that is).

Or its as simple as the coils needing to settle. Lift springs or lowering springs, they still need to settle.

i checked the ride height before and after,my springs were not sagging , the fronts have settled abit giving me a 1" drop but the rear is stock - the free length is shorter but the installed length is the same - the lowering springs are stiffer but they are supposed to be 2" lower - I'm gonna cut them.....

How long have they been installed? Did you get them from AC (4x4parts.com)? I got my lift coils from them and it took about 2 months for them to completely settle. At first I had about 4" of lift. Now its about 2" as advertised. I highly recommend not cutting them until they fully settle.

Not a good idea to cut them at this time. Do as NIssanDom suggested and wait it out a bit longer.

If you cut them now and they settle even more your back end will be much lower than the front.....furthermore AC won't be able to help you because of the custom snipping done the coils. Just wait a little while longer and if they still rifde high contact Jane and explain your issue. Jane has been very helpful with my needs and has never let me down in the 4 years I have been dealing with her.

Hey guys i got a 99 qx4 so what you guys are saying i could get stock pathfinder springs and they'll fit right in. I see no one makes springs for my car. I got a little 17ft boat and it just sinks in the back.

Huh? The QX4 is just a nicer pathfinder with more stuff on the outside, why would you want to replace your QX4 springs with pathfinder ones, they're exactly the same, Do the right thing and get a lift lol. http://www.4x4parts.com carries everything you need.

I thought they had a softer rate. In addition, I recently parked next to an R50 Pathfinder, and I swear that thing had a couple inches on me.

I concur with the lift

The VQ QX4s might just have different shocks, but the springs are the same. I have both a QX4 and pathfinder, and all the stock suspension components were the same.
