I haven't ever lowered a car before, and I'm not into running her hard, but I would like a more aggressive stance...So, here I ask a few questions..

1) If I get lowering springs, will it ruin my stock offset and make the wheels/tires stick out like a 1988 Honda Civic on 10in rims? Am I going to need a new strut and spring setup?

2) Will they effect handling in any non desirable way?

3) Eibach Sportline, Pros, or Tein S-tech or H-tech lowering springs: Any reviews on these products?

THANKS TO ALL!

what up ray... this is mark... turk is in town and wants his front lip..... anyways...

1) offset deals with rims... and rims only... basicly think of it as how much it sticks out or in... your wheels will sink in more than anything depending how much you drop.... your whole suspension geometry changes... your gonna need new struts/shocks... get some tokico blues or something decent along those lines... kyb agx..... and trust me there damper adjustable and its nice to have.... oh yeah get an alignment after to... if you drop lower than 1.5 it gets complicated and too long to type so just ask me later....

2)they wont if you get damper adjustable.... kyb gr2's are comfy... turk has em.... i think there too squishy....

3)sport line are a lill lower when broken in than the pro's.... pro's are alil stiffer than sort line stechs are decent but creeks and dunno about h tech.... as much as i hate the strut/shock and spring combo.... (because there not match for each other like coilovers.. i mean true coilovers not ground controles) you will be happy with kyb gr2's combined with sport lines....

4)asking nico boards about suspension is like asking turk how to build and engine... hahha thats messed up... but whatever..... i think you are the only one who will get that.......

so after the strut and shock combo, you don't need any more parts to upgrade your suspension?

suspension involves alot more parts/adjustments than just dampers and springs.

check the suspension FAQ

Thats horrible!!! lol, or you could ask Turk how long he went without changing his oil after that SR swap...ohgod...poor, poor car.

Unless you get the real story on how he really blew up that Celica motor!

whatever u do dont get gr-2s and sportlines. the gr-2s are about equivalent to stock replacemets and the sportlines lower too much, they'll blow. if i were u i'd get the s-techs with kyb agxs or tokico blues

gr-2's are stock replacement as far as damper.. and ride quality.... but they are shorten to work with lowering springs.... pro kits are the ones i ment.. they dont lower that much and its cheap for just lowering.... spring and stut combos are all **** anyways...

the link 240marcuSX provided some brief/usless crap waste of time read/and miss conception of how some of that stuff works...

to correct your suspension geometry tension rods, tie rod ends, and rucas... thats all you really need... unless your crazy lowered.... rucas will correct the rear camber enough to allow the toe arm adjust to 0... if you have coilovers the you will most likly have pillow ball upper mounts with camber adjustment... and your tie rod ends with tension rod will correct the front... so thats it for suspension if you want the minimum...

also... toe angle will accelerate your tire wear while camber gives you uneven wear.... most people think camber wears tires.. and fix that your done... but thats is not true...

i just skimmed that link and didnt see anything really use full
