I have 17" Wheels With 235/45 in the front and 255/45 in the back

How much can i drop the car without it rubbing?

And what type of spring will still give you a comfortable ride ? i dont want my car to feel like crap beacuase i got too stiff of springs are there any soft lowering springs ?

& will this damage my struts? (i dont know if they have been replaced before im pretty sure they have beacuse my car rides very smooth) i have been told lowering the car too much will kill they stock struts because they are not made to take all that pressure from the car being dropped.

I WANT MY Z TO RIDE THIS LOW, WHAT DO YOU THINK THE DROP WAS ON THIS CAR ?

First and foremost: You get what you pay for. So don't go cheap and get some ebay knockoff springs. You will hate the ride and won't have luck with them. Yes with a lowering spring you will wear out the strut quicker. It's always in your best interest to run with a aftermarket strut with a spring. There are a lot choices with springs so I wouldn't know where to begin with a Z32. I know TEIN makes a luxury ride spring (H-techs), I don't know however if they make them for the Z32.

They make H-Techs for the Z32 but I ham fighting with this now. I am thinking about getting H-Techs or Eibach mated with Tokicos HP. I am like HPs and have ran them on other cars.

For a very comfortable ride I would go with the Tein H techs. Eibach are a no go in my book they bounce entirely to much. Get a set of Tein mated to some KYB AGX shocks and the ride will be awesome. The best setup ever is coilovers though.

Will the camber need to be changed with H-Techs?

H-techs drop it only .8 all around you could get away with the 300 degree camber kit for around $80 from czp and be fine. If you drop more you will need camber arms, tension rods etc. As for op's question you will not have a soft ride when lowering especially as low as the pic you posted which is alot more than the h-techs will do. The agx shocks are used and liked by many but they are somewhat hard even when adjusted to the softest setting. The tokico illumina's are a little better ride wise and koni's are the best but at that point you may as well go coilovers. Personally for op I would go with the tein s-techs for a little more drop.

Bounce? Ive had Eibach/GC coil over (poser coil overs I know) on my NX 2000 and have the Eibach Spring/KYB AGX presently on my NA, they dont bounce, at the most they are the complete opposite... I have my setting 1 up front and 4 in the back...I like my set up. still a little stiff...Had to get the camber kit too... Not to bad for $600... Got my set up from Coz at czp.us

So The Tein H tech would be fine ( not having to change camber) and not wearing struts out too bad beacuse its a small drop ?

With ANY aftermarket spring you should get new struts. The stock ones are dialed in for the stock spring. You'll still wear through the stock strut if you don't change it out.

The Z in the pic you posted is RagtpZ's. It has PowerTrix coilovers, it is probably only lowered about 1", maybe a little less.

The stance of Randy's Z looks soooo good based on the size and killer offset combo of his wheels, it makes it look much lower than it actually is.

Sorry in advance for bumping a mad old thread! :gapteeth:

I'm planning on getting some KYB AGX's and Tein H techs all around. Will I be able to get away with a 300 degree camber kit or not??

It would be alot cheaper than having to get a full camber kit..

The 300Degree kit is designed for the H techs, IIRC. Should work perfectly.

On all the ads, like the one on CZP's website, say its designed for the Eibach springs so I wasn't sure. But I think Eibachs and Tein H-techs are both rated at 0.8" drop in the front?

EDIT: This is from specialty z's site: "This kit is specifically engineered to compensate for EibachTM Pro 0.8" lowering springs"

But this is from Z1's site: "Recommended for street cars using Eibach, Tein, or similar lowering springs that are looking to bring their camber back to factory spec at minimum cost"

So I think I'm good to go with this kit + my H-techs. I'm still going to get adjustable tension rods though :bigthumb:

h-tec and eibach are both a .8 drop so you will be fine. All the 300 degree kit does is move the mounting bracket for the upper arm out a little from the body of the car which gives a little more positive camber to compensate for the drop.

Awesome thanks guys! (btw my Fiance is buying my the H-techs for Valentine's day :woot: )

So should I just install everything including the 300 degree kit and then take it to the alignment shop? Do I have to tell them anything special or should they know what to do?

There is nothing special to tell the alignment guys since everything will be stock still from what they can adjust. Don't be surprised if you actually don't notice much of a drop as the stock springs have probably sagged and the new ones have to settle.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I won't notice a drop either, I'm doing it more just to get a new suspension setup. My stock suspension is pretty worn, regular potholes feel like craters.

Thanks for answering all my questions guys :bowrofl:
