Lowering Springs for 08' EX35

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Does anyone know if there are any manufacturers out there such as Eibach or Tein that make lowering springs for the 08' Infiniti EX35? I am wanting to mod my EX, but there doesn't seem to be much aftermarket parts out yet. Are there springs made for other Infiniti or Nissan vehicles that will fit an EX? Please help! Thanks!

Welcome, sh0gun71!!

Don't know the answer to your question but I'm just curious ... are you aiming to enhance the look, or the handling, or both?

Cheers,David

I'm trying to do a little of both. I traded in my 2005 FX35 for the 2008 EX35 and I always wanted to do something crazy/cool to the FX, but just didn't have the nerve to do it. Now, I'm going for broke. MODDING AWAY TO MY HEARTS CONTENT!!

I love the EX though and I'm glad that I made the trade. I actually bought some 08' FX35 wheels with 225/35-20 tires and have those on the car right. It really looks SWEET!! I think 20's is the way to go with the EX. Anything larger would be overkill.

I will post pics before and after the mod, when the lowering is done.

How about some pics of your EX with the 20's on it for now?

Any updates on this question yet? Anyone know of lowering springs for the EX-35?

If you notice on the Infinity website, when you go into the "Build Your Own" area, the picture of the two EX-35 vehicles depict "lowered versions".

I think the webdeveloper or marketing people do this to make the car look more attractive. In reality, the clearance between the wheels and the fenders is much greater than what is depicted in those images.

I'd love to get some lowering springs on this vehicle and probably some wheel spacers to push out the rear wheels a bit closer to the edge of the fenders.

Anyone know how wide our OEM 18" rims are? Are they 8" or 8.5"? In either case, I'm assuming I can replace the tires with 245's? The extra 20mm width (10mm on each side of the tire) should make it look much better.

Any info or opinions?

The OEM rims are 18x8. As far as going to 245mm tires, I would check the specs for the exact tire under consideration ... the manufacturer always publishes the range of rim widths that are compatible with each tire.
