I wanted to get some feedback before I call Progressive and ask (and they note the conversation...). What sort of premium increase does modified suspension come with on the AC? The price of Eibach Pro-Kit's are fantastic, but a 25% increase per month would be tragic.

Why would lowering springs affect your car insurance premium?

Because you're altering the suspension geometry, and an insurer will look for any reason not to pay out... Scenario: Lower your car and don't tell the insurance company. One rainy night you rear end an elderly couple in a Mercedes and total it (as well as possibly injure them). Its all good though, you have insurance! =D BUT upon inspection they "deduce" that the accident was "caused" by your modification, and since you didn't tell them they will not pay for any of the bills.

Insurance companies often require you to tell them if you fit new wheels because it makes the vehicle more of a risk for theft and a break in.

On another note if you install wheel locks, parking sensors, or a tow bar they will REDUCE your premium because you become less of a risk.
