I'm short on cash and I want to lower my ride. I was thinking or going with a GR2 and Dropzone combo. Anyone have any experiances with dropzone springs. I want to lower my car alot and 1.8" is the most i can find with a spring. I have about $300 for shocks and springs if anyone can come up with something better.Thanx

ya i saw the s-techs but they only lower 1.6 in the front and like 1.1 in the back. Will you be able to notice any drop on a somewhat stiffer gr2 shock?

Get Suspension Technique Springs. H&R's or the Teins. They are rated to lower no more than 1.6" or so. I recommend spring kits that lower less than 2" because KYB GR2's aren't meant to handle lowering springs anyway--they'll blow prematurely. After that, get some high-quality directional tires and you'll see a big difference in your car's handling. If your'e working on a budget, i'm sure you wouldn't want to be replacing your shocks all the time because they blew their seals.

Hope that helps.

Tein S-Techs are great IMO. yea i know theres hella people that say GR-2's can't handle a drop. well i don't know if these people actually experienced it or not, but they handle fine (for me ne way). i got the s-tech/ GR-2 set up, and i love it. i installed it myself and on a friends car, and it rides great. you can check out the diff on the link on my sig. I've had the set up for a while now, and i've done quite a bit w/ them. Got side wayz, and Touge like crazy. they still handle nice. only thing i need to make the wheel gap/drop look better would be some bigger tires. my friend has bigger tires and it looks better than mine. s0o0o basically i'm saying that the combo is a good set up. i went w/ it, as well as others that i've talked to, and we all like it. hope i helped.

I wouldn't run the GR2 with a lowered spring that will drop the car more than 1" or so. They just are not designed for that limited travel. They will work okay for a while but will wear faster.

Save your money and get Eibachs and AGXs. The last thing i would ever get cheap stuff on is springs/struts
