i've noticed that most companys that offer lowering springs have a diferent drop ratio for front and rear...why? i found springs that lower 2" f and r - maybe i don't know something?

You're not missing anything. The reason they do that is because the weight of the engine is on the front so you don't need to lower it as much. The rear needs to come down farther in order to have a level appearance. If you drop both equally, the car will look "raked" or, lower in the front than the rear.

what i thought was that an even drop f & r will make the car level because - again, i thought - the front and rear stock springs are diferent height/stiffness so would aftermarket be. if i was going with tein s with less drop on rear then i thought the front would sit lower.

I don't have access to my photobucket at work or I'd post pictures of the drop on my car. The wheel gap was much lower in front than in the rear from stock.

It also depends on if you have a system in the trunk and how big it is. This was my Maxima the day I did my Illumina kit and MSR wheels. So the springs were not settled. I had a box with 2 12's and an amp. That's why it looks a little lower in the back.

did you go with an even f/r drop though? most springs lower front more than rear that's why i thought that 2" f/r should lower it evenly.

Front before

Rear before

Front after

Rear after

Now keep in mind these are Tein Basic dampers and I don't have them set evenly.

thx guys. i think i'll wait and get coilovers since they're adjustable and i've read that tokico blues are not very good to drop. plus i like your ride's stance, kzoosho, just can't go that low with my wheels unless i pull my fenders.
