I have a 93 240sx and it on stock ride hide which I think is pretty high. I wanna lower it quite a bit but idk what to use... Coilovers.... Lowering springs. What do you think the best way to go would be without costing a fortune. I don't wanna spend alot but I don't want something real s***ty neither. Thanks

springs are good. Ride quality is good, but can't go as low as coilovers. You probably would get tired of them and end up buying a set of coilovers anyway.Coilovers tend to give a stiffer ride, but can go really low. Up to YOU!

so... save money... then buy coilovers ... then do the happy dance.

a decent spring strut combo will get you lower without hurting your wallet too much. too many people assume that you will get tired of that and get coils, or that coils are the be all end all for lowering. coilovers aren't for everyone. for a dd it's impractical. for a street only car, i think it's a waste of money. but it's your cash, do what you will with it, just don't do something because some strangers on the internet claimed it was the best route to go.

is you're car in the sig on tein springs? cause it's still high as f***. :\ id just get coilovers if you plan on going low. all the springs for s13's tend to only drop the car 2" max. plus you dont want to get springs and still end up with the front higher than the rear :\

I'm with everybody else who said coilovers. Yes you can do the spring/strut combo, but you will eventually want to upgrade or do some adjustment that can't do with spring/strut combo.

I say save up and do it right the first time and get coilovers.

Get coilovers with pillow ball adjustable mounts (pretty much a requirement for coils)You won't be happy with springs (for long).

Full adjustability will keep you happy for years haha. Worth the $1,000+ price tag.

Coilovers to look into buying:StancePoweredbymaxTeinIsis; godspeed (JUST KIDDING HAHAHAHA STAY AWAY from these)JIC

Companies with still unknown quality to me like Ksport, Dmax coils, and Megans should be sought after with caution. Pay attention to customer service gripes other ppl have gone through because if anything ever goes wrong with your $$ coilovers, you want a company that will work with you to rebuild them or replace them.

Good luck, and don't forget to buy lowering struts with springs... once you do that it costs a lot more for "just doing lowering springs".. Even then you won't have camber adjustability so my advice is bite the bullet and you'll be happier in the long run. I know I was

Stay away from Ksport, they explode. If you are heading for just a simple drop and want a comfortable ride, go springs, but jsut remember, you'll never out handle a car with Coilovers. And chances are, if you drive on springs, you'll wanna go lower, and kick yourself for not just getting coilovers...I owned another car where I bought springs, and never installed them, just because I knew i wanted to go lower then what they had, so i sold them. It all depends on what your goals are.

i appreciate all your help and i dont think ill be happy with lowering springs because my car seems to look higher than other s13's ride height but from my understanding coilovers are expenseive and with my salary it will take forever to be able to afford them.... btw how do i put a picture on here? ill show you how high my car is
