I heard that lowering more than 1" on GR-2s will blow them.. is this true?

I want to do the whiteline springs + kyb gr-2s

The AGXs look nice but I don't think I would have a need to adjust anything; seems like more money than I need to spend for what I do =/

The GR-2 works well with the stock suspension but not with a lowering spring. You need to have something you can firm up the valving to make up for the loss in travel. The GR-2 may work for awhile but not for long with that kind of a drop.

Does anyone happen which shocks you can buy that wouldn't have an issue [other than the adjustable ones]?

The AGX is pretty much the cheapest solid option out there. Even then the AGX are only rated for 2" drop. Anything more than that and you'll void your warranty. The Tein stechs and Tokico blues combo will also suffice. The stechs will drop your car a lot. I know someone who drifts his car with this kind of setup. Really, the best way to lower a car is to go with a full coilover setup and I'm not talking about ground controls...

I believe the GR-2's are made to have a ZERO drop and the AGX's are not supposed to have more then ONE INCH drop. I called them directly and asked them. I know that people use them with more than an inch drop, but that is all they warranty.
