So I'm trying to take the stock strut assembly off the rear of my vert. I can't get to one of the bolts on the of the strut tower inside the trunk. how do you get to that bolt? There is a brace in the way and I can't get a socket or wrench in there. I can get the wrench on the bolt, but there isn't enough room to move it. HELP!

My question is what goes in? Same strut with lowering springs? If so, you are okay. If you try to install coilovers, you have to cut part of that brace for the adjustment knob.

well I have two 240's. One is my track car and the other is the vert. I bought some coils for the coupe, and I took the suspension that was on it, and put it on the vert. TEIN S-Tech's and KYB AGX is now on the vert. I'll take some pics when I get home on Sunday. I've been a member on Z ilvia since 04, I have 1900 posts on there and I also own a drifting forum. http://www.performancedrifting.com. I stumbled apon this forum after I got my vert. I'm not a noob at this, lol. But, I didn't see how to get the upper rear seat off. On the coupe/hatch there is a ring that comes out the top of the seat, you pull that and the seat comes down. So, on the vert.... how does it come off? I've had 6 240's, 3 coupes and 3 hatches. I've looked for a vert forever and I fanally found one. I'll post up my story on sunday. Thanks for your help. Charles.

You have to lift the upper part of the back seat straight up kinda. There are 2 flat metal rings on the back of the seat that clamp over 2 flat metal sheets on the frame.

Also check out carolinanissans.com if you haven't already, there are some local guys down that way.

There are 2 palstic clips that you have to pull. They are facing front under the back seat. Pull them and push up. If you can't figure out, let me know. I'll take some pics for you tonight.

That's for the bottom section.

Guess you would have to remove the bottom section too for the first time, are the 2 screws on the bottom section or top section? Don't remember.

Well, he first was going to sell them to me and then reneged after he got his vert.

You punk, I pointed you straight here, you did not "stumble upon it".

You're a noob at searching and reading FAQs, that's for sure.

(Don't you just love how you can be mean to someone, but if you put a smiley at the end, everything's ok?)

Two bolts are between the seat halves. Pull up on the top half after they are out. The bottom half is held in by two clips. That's all.

Looking forward to your vert story.

ROFL, don't take me so seriously, I'm just annoyed you didn't come here right away. If I really had a chip on my shoulder, I wouldn't have "randomly" PMed back and forth a dozen times on Z ilvia helping you out with basic questions about vert stuff.

If you're ever in D.C., drop by and I'll buy you a Zima to make it up to you.
