Folks, I wanted the standard M56, not the 20" wheel "S" model, and I think I've got a nice car in my 2011 M56 "base model". However, I would like it if it sat a little lower, just for looks, and it wouldn't hurt if the springs were a little stiffer either ! I can't find anyone who supplies lowering springs, so two questions for the forum :
1) Would fitting a set of "S" model springs lower the car ? Any idea on cost if so ?
2) Does anyone know a supplier who makes lowering springs for a 2011 M56 ? Not Eibach or Tein as far as I can see !

Thanks for any help, Doug

Eibach pro kit part # 6397.140 roughly $265+/- shipping! Search it on Ebay with this part #. Is a 1.0" 1.5" drop! Or give this eibach part # to any retailer that sells eibach and they can get it got you!! Enjoy! :bigthumb:

Thanks Bodyguard, but I've kept checking that part number on the Eibach site and they keep saying that it's under development...since Dec., 2010 ! A couple of retailers at first said they could get them...then backed off when I got serious. Thanks anyway, Doug

I can tell you that they exist and they can easily be purchased. I am currently in the middle of lowering my m37x and am working with OC infiniti in Cali (i live in Philly) because the parts people there are amazing. They have a massive experience in tuning and can tell you they have everything and everyone one in the tuning world to work with. Its called an Eibach pro kit. its a 1.2/1.5 drop. I went with Tanabe at the suggestion of the parts guys here its a bit less of a drop but because of AWD I am a bit worried about dropping to much and damaging CV joints in the back.
Call their parts: 877 913-7711. Ask for Mike tell them from Dmitry. Hell hook you up. Image I ordered a crap ton for my car from them. As seen here.. lol..

OK. Good luck, I found it on Ebay and called the seller but it's Saturday so they may call back until Monday. I would CALL eibach directly if they have a number and find out for sure if they are available to their retailers... :gotme

If you really want to drop it they do make coilovers for that car...

Hey folks...thanks ! I'll make BOTH calls...OC Infiniti parts, and Eibach direct. Looks like I've got no excuse now ! Living in Tucson maybe a drive over to OC would be fun. Thanks very much for the leads. Doug

Hey Guys! Doesn't look like their have been any updates since May. Any pics available? Also, I am looking to lower my 2012 M56x, but I can't find any springs that fit the AWD version. Unless your saying the Eibach Pro Kit will also fit AWD model. The car is only a few days old, which is the best time to work on it........nothing is rusting yet. ha ha

Typically the eibach lowering springs that are made for RWD are only meant for that so, "X" or AWD WOULD NOT FIT... Its been a while and I haven't researched it but maybe they're available now... :gotme anyhow, good luck!

Hi all, I appreciate your interest, but so far, no luck on finding lowering springs for my 2011 M56. Eibach just notes "in development" on their web site, and truthfully, I haven't been diligent in searching out other options. Perhaps I'll find something this fall. Good luck to you all ! Thanks, Doug

Eibach pro kit has been confirmed to work on 2011+ M37 and M37x. The fit "should" be the same for the M56 as these cars are virtually identical except for the engine. The only thing I think that might be an issue is the weight of cars might be different and need different spring rates. I'm curious to find out more about this myself.

I had asked Stillen about that, and I believe Eibach, and was told that "NO", the springs for the M37 are NOT suitable of M56 application. Sorry.
