I am new to this site...

I recently put new 19" wheels on my 2000 Q45. I want to lower the car. Right now the front is higher than the rear. I drive in the city where there are quite a few potholes and speed bumps. I would prefer to lower the front end by 1" to 1.5" without making the ride too stiff (I'm not against lowering the rear as well).

I am wondering if anyone on this board has recommendations to accomplish this. I haven't been able to find any lowering springs online and I'm not sure what my options are. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I concur.

The only reason I say this, is you are probably looking into springs or coilovers. Unless you are planning to overhaul the rest of the suspension to take according abuse, you are giving your Q's suspension a death sentence.

God I sound like an old man, but I have to agree.

You know it's all about stattic looks and not dynamic performance.

if you're planning to go low and still have a good comfort ride, get air suspension. i have Universal Air Suspension on my Y33 and i can adjust my height with the hit of a switch. it's really conveniant especially if you have bumpy roads and dips. check out universalairsuspension.com or airrunner.co.jp

Hey Q ship how are you? I know you had a bad experience with lowering springs as I have with TEINs because TEINs never made a springs for FGY33 VH41 V8.It said Y33 on the box but it's made for Gloria cedric PY33 any MY33 which is 400 lbs. lighter V6 models. That's why there was alots of stress on the suspension parts.

I ordered ESPELIR ESN-149 which is specifically made for FGY33 VH41 V8. It sit's lower and I love the ride quality better than my EIBACHs.

Wes is going to try out ESN-156 which I have ordered from Japan and to be the 1st person to try ESN-156 in the U.S. for 90-96 Q45/President model.

After he evlauate the springs I will be taking pre orders for the springs on both FGY33 and G50. I know air-ride is the best but not every one can afford it. So I'm here to provide springs next best thing to air ride for Q owners in the U.S..
