I just purchased a 20 inch FX wheels (20x8 factory) and a set of lowering springs, Eibach 1.6 lower in front, 1 in the back. So, the only thing missing is tires. Before I do purchase the tires and go through the entire mod, I wanted to find out if you guys/gals can answer the following:I have two choices of tires: 245/40/20 or 245/35/20. I know that I can put on the 245/40/20 on my car without rubbing, no brainer. I also know that I can put on the 245/35/20 on the car with the lowering springs, also a no brainer. But the question is whether I can put on the 245/40/20 tires on a 20x8 wheels and the lowering springs as described above without rubbing?

People run 22" wheels in M35/M45's with a 245/30/22's. Basically you have to look at the overall diameter of the Tire. I've seen lowered M's on 22's, so you'd PROB be ok. But the general rule is to stay as close to stock as possible. The 245/35 is going to give you a more accurate mileage report and its going to sit as close as possible to the heigh desired. You bought 1.6" lowering springs but its going to sit 1 inch higher with the 40's.

Overall Diameter: 26.71 in (stock 19" sport wheels) Overall Diameter: 26.75 in (245/35/20)

Overall Diameter: 27.71 in (245/40/20) Overall Diameter: 27.78 in (245/30/22)

Heres the link if you want to play with different sizes. http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp
