I chatted with the guy who orders espilier springs (Burt) and he no longer has any in stock. In order for the company to create another batch they require a minimum of 10 sets ordered. I don't think you will have a set anytime soon.
In general a cars suspension geometry is created to work optimally at a certain height and when you lower it you put the components under the car closer to the ground so the springs and shocks need to compensate, hence the stiffer ride.
Of course you already knew this and are still hoping you will continue to find a solution. Coil over options, there are 3 BC, ksport and d2. Of the three the BC coil overs are the best option, then d2 then ksport. Rwd springs will not work on the front so well. It's the spring rate that throws the front off. It'll be too low and bouncy with risk of bottoming out.
Thanks for the heads up! I've been doing some more research and after seeing that Burt won't have any springs for awhile, Coils are looking to be more and more of the likely option right now.
I've also been reading that the D2's are better than the BC's and nobody has really given a true definitive reason as to why. I've read that BC's and D2's are true coilovers, then somewhere it said that BC's aren't true CO's. (So confusing)
I live in Seattle, WA and I don't think that our roads are too horrific, but I could be wrong. They're definitely nothing compared to roads in Manhattan, that's for sure. I also have 91k on my 07 and when I did a once over on the ride before purchasing it, everything looked to be in great condition (recently replaced). What other parts should I be aware of that may need replacing at 90k?
Thank you for all the information! I'm excited to lower my car and get a more VIP stance to it.
