so i'm ready to order my lowering springs and want to go with a 4" drop but then...what about the winter? i live in mt and we get a s hit ton of snow. when driving my corolla i would plow a bunch of snow in front and cracked my front bumper.

anyone deals with a lowered susp in high snow? how does the max drive in it? because it does awesome when not lowered.

It is a terrible idea to run a lowered car in the snow, especially dropped 4 inches! That is way down.

You are just asking for damage to the front or undercarriage.

Mine is dropped on Eibachs, which are a little more than an inch and it handles great in the snow (I have four studded snow tires) but I end up putting it in the garage and driving my 4x4 when it gets deeper than a couple of inches.

I would also highly recommend against chains on a lowered car. You are far more likely to damage your fender. Depending on the size of your tire -- since most people run wider 17s, 18s or 19s -- I would also worry about the chains hitting suspension components, especially the struts on the inside.
