like the title states, I am interested in lowering mine but i am afraid I will turn the car into a mini snow plow when I lower it and have the Stillen front lip. My car rides on 205/50/17 so it is raised an extra 2CM with the 50 series tires.

just measure 1.4 inch below the lowest part of the lip, if you think you will be going through snow deeper than that dont do it.

I'm not too concerned about the snow. I'm on Tanabe springs only 1.5" lower so it's not going to be a big issue. Just need to remember don't drive in deep snow and it will be alright.

So with the taller tires I should be actually measuring .6 from the lowest part, right?

or did you already calculate my 50 series tires into your equation?

Yeah it is B.C we do not get that much snow here compared to what the East Coast ends up getting.

no. no matter your tire size, you will lower it the car 1.4 inch (with tanabe springs).

I just thought about it and yeah I now understand. Well time to get the measuring stick out and calculate things.

It sucks

you're going to get beached if you go down a small unplowed street following the tracks of the other cars.

Also, if the front wheels spin out (which they will), the car will go into limp mode so the wheels won't spin. This also means you can't power your way out of the snow even if you could get enough traction.

Maybe

It was weird. My car was beached by the snow...the tires were still on the ground but didn't have a lot of traction. I tried to gun it thru the snow..which worked for a bit then the car stopped letting the wheels spin. I floored it but the engine wouldn't rev

But don't forget, this is a CVT.

That was a fun night
