Anyone out there have a set of trailing arms laying around? I'm looking for exact dimensions of the sleeve....I believe we all could save ALOT of $ using energy suspensions universal kit. I just need outside dia, inside dia, and width of where the bushing goes.

Energy Suspensions bushings sure look just like what 4x4Parts.com sells.

And what year are you interested in?

You never said what year.

I have a 2001 upper rear (that's the short one) with no bushings in them. Tubing ID 1.9625", Tubing OD 2.3355", Tubing Length 1.829". That tubing wall thickness is 0.1865 which is less than the min in their catalog.

Also, 4x4parts.com kit includes bolts, nuts, washers, IIRC.

Sorry...it's for 2002, but I know 95 to 2004 are the same. I need size for lower, but your sizes helped a little. What size (thickness) are the bolts??? Any idea.

Upper and lower are the same size bolts. They are different Nissan p/n for the bushings, but the 4x4parts.com kit didn't differentiate so I think it's just the lenght, and the two-part poly bushes handle that.

The bolts are on the truck, and it's FINALLY raining here in Northern California. I got .60" in my rain gauge yesterday. I remember when we considered a rainy day to be BAD weather. ;-)

Lil update. ...the energy suspension polys will fit perfectly EXCEPT the metal sleeves are a half inch too long...I might cut them to size....other issue is the are 5/8 id opposed to 1/2 inch factory...does anyone see an issue with the bigger id? I figure when properly torqued they shouldnt move....or am I mistaken in thinking this??

They are under a lot of load and could move.

And if they do, your suspension geometry is screwed up.

Is the OD of the original sleeves correct for the poly bushings?

No, but my drillpress could take care of that. Its a shame what 4x4 parts is charging for these...they are ripping us off imo.

Gave it a go this morning, only to fail. One of the "perks" to living in the northeast is snow, and salt= rusted bolts. I tried an 1/2 impact wrnech, that didnt work. Next up, My giant breaker bar, using a jack. Well all that did was jack the truck up, yup, thats right! Im done. Just gonna drive it till its dead. Now i remember why I have new cars.

The drill press could fix the OD of the sleeves, esp. when I was suspecting it was going to be too small.

The first time I did the upper control arms on my PF (a California car), it took Ingersol-Rand's baddest 1/2" impact
wrench to get three of the bolts, the fourth had to be cut off. A 24" breaker bar wouldn't get them. Some folks have
reported success with a torch, but that didn't help.

The 4x4 parts kit is price competitive with Nissan bushes + bolts + nuts + $20/arm to have the pressed in.
