Hi everyone, I found this forum through a search. I am currently working on my dad's 1993 J30. Getting the upper intake manifold off was a PITA.
Work thats been done:replaced leaking valve cover gaskets, cleaned injectors and replaced O rings.
Now I am having trouble with the lower manifold. I have removed the top 6mm allen head bolts and am currently trying to remove the 4 - 12 mm nuts above and the pulley on the front. I am also needing to remove the rear hard lines and hoses on the back of the engine for the fuel and emissions for replacement. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Also if there is any one locally in Dallas, TX near Plano who maybe able to lend a hand I will happily buy you lunch or even monetary compensation.
Work that needs to done:Clean out upper and lower intake of crankcase oil and gunk and minor polish of runners, replace or bypass the coolant lines to the throttle body, bypass the crankcase return lines to breather filters, test coilpacks & CAS, replace all other cracked hose.
So far I bought most the gaskets and parts from Courtesy Nissan from a 93 300ZX NA. Any other info or precautions to using 300ZX parts? The price of parts at Nissan is substantially cheaper than at Infiniti here in Plano.
