Alright guys so I was chasing a coolant leak, after I fixed it I was putting my Plenum back together and as I go to tighten it down the bolts just spun and spun yes I overtorqued them last time and suffered the consequences during this Plenum pull. Regardless, I bought a helicoil kit but I’m not too confident in drilling the lower intake as the drill is quite big. Yes I got the right size m8x1.25.. what if I just got a longer bolt? There is still thread on the bottom of the intake and I’d rather get a longer bolt than risk severely damaging the lower intake and having to get another one. Let me know what you guys think!

If you are going that route, I would use a stud and nut vs a longer bolt. Leave the stud in place and use it as a guide to slide the upper plenum on and to hold the gasket in place.

^+1. I personally would want to do it correctly, and helicoils aren't that difficult. I'd just hate to get it all back together and have a vacuum leak there due to low torque from only using a few threads.

I ended up using a longer bolt and going over the threads and works just fine no leaks at all but thanks for the suggestion guys!
