so i did a little bit of searching but i didnt get anything

maybe not hard enough

but for those who are running adjustable lower control arms, what do you have them set too (roughly)

the front i was thinking about running them extended as much as is safe, and adjust camber from the camber plates

for the rear im not sure about, i dont want to max out the upper control arms, i doubt i will anyway

just need a point in the right direction for getting a good baseline before i take it in for the alignment

You got adjustables? Why?Just measure your stock ones and let the tuning shop do the rest.

because:

1. current ones are poppin and have play2. the rest of my suspension is pretty much adjustable and i wanted to have the full adjustability (i know i could have gone poly bushings and o.e.m. ball joint)

i guess ill measure the rear and keep that close to o.e. spec and the front ill make longer so i can run more camber if i want too..

i was looking into the lca's in various places and i only know that they adjust the camber curve (i think), and i dont know if the o.e. lca length is correct for the most advantageous camber curve

longer versus shorter would be better since i have the adjustability i wanna learn how to use it properly

S14 lcas are about 15mm longer than s13 lcas. So, s13 lca length + 15mm = new adjustable length? That should net plenty of practical camber.

What kind of arms did you get?

Let us know how it goes.

lol sweet i think ill start with that thanks... thats the answer i was lookin forrrr

and its godspeed, they get knocked all the time, so i decided i would take a chance and see how they go...i think they have a 5 year warrenty so im not really trippin and worst comes to worse i can swap stock ones back in

even though i doubt they will give me a problem

i think they lower the lca a more than the stock ball joint which is good and they are adjustable so thats good too...

plus i needed the pillowball fronts cause i want to run more caster in the front cause my tie rod hits my lca on full lock (inner spacers)

and i want it to counter faster as well so im gonna test differnt casters

LIFETIME ALIGNMENTS FTW

HAHAHA good luck getting everything aligned with your lifetime alignment. I have one at Firestone and probably won't ever go back. I've never had a great experience, even when I told them exactly how to adjust the arms. You really need a performance shop that knows what they're doing.

dude...dont even get me started, every time i go i got to explain some s*** to them

i had to explain to them how to give me camber and convince them that yes i wanted camber

and then last time i asked what they did for caster, they said they put it to oe spec and i was like ok well give me a little more, i think like 7* and they are like ok

i get it back and its at 6.4* or oe spec (trying to remember off hand the specific number) i was like realy bro...

hella have to micro manage them

thats why ive been up and down the internet askin questions and what not to try to get as much info as i can so i can utilize my lifetime alignments with the performance advantages that i need lol

no f***ing way!

i live in elk grove too, is that your s14? i dont think ive seen it around

unless the aero is black and the wheels are like golden, i think thats the only one if seen around here

but anyways, i get it done at firestone off calvine and power inn.

its 150 for a lifetime alignment but because i had so much modification done to my car they said it was in the exotic class and it was 250

im sure if you dont tell them though and ask for the lifetime you might get away with it, you do have to micromanage them cause they arnt a performance shop so you got to explain things and what not to them
